Yep, you're right! That is our Pastor, Rev. Kelly Pyle! He plays acoustic guitar and has written several songs for the Lord. He didn't take up playing guitar until he was in his forties, but he is doing a fine job now. He has always encouraged his children to play music and has always provided instruments for them to play in the service of the Lord. He has also been very supportive of anyone that wants to sing or play an instument in church, regardless of skill level.
Bro. James Lay plays acoustic guitar and is a wonderful man of God, friend, and mentor to all the young men of the church. Many of our musicians have grown up listening to Bro. Lay play guitar and sing with his lovely wife, Sis Reba. He is a true lover of music and musical instruments of all kinds (and hats).
Bro. Jackie Pyle is the youngest son of Rev. Kelly Pyle. He plays acoustic guitar, electric guitar, piano, and bass. He, like Bro. Lay, enjoys all things concerning music and all kinds of musical instruments (and hats). Jackie is a Christian music songwriter and enjoys recording music as well. He is also the Youth Leader in our church and is responsible for creating our weekly Newsletter along with his sister, Janet Sharp and his son Tyler Pyle. We are very blessed to have him as a part of the Lighthouse Church of God.
Rev. Jamie Brewster plays acoustic guitar, bass, and some piano. He spent many years singing with is dad, Mike Brewster. Although his dad has already made that wonderful journey to Heaven, Jamie continues to spread the word in music. Jamie is a minister and is firm in what he believes. He is also a Christian music songwriter.
Sis. Janet Sharp is the oldest child of the Pastor, Rev. Kelly Pyle. She is a very proficient piano player and has dedicated her life to making music for the Lord. She is a very annointed singer and is a Christian music songwriter and founding member of the Gospel singing group, Angels Unaware. She also plays acoustic guitar, bass, organ and drums.
Bro. James Bailey plays bass guitar in our church. He is one of our fine young men that are excited about serving God. He has a passion for church attendance, playing Christian music, and for serving the Lord. He is also bass player for Angels Unaware. We are very proud of the stand he takes for the Lord. Bro. James is old enough to make up his mind about what he wants to do with his life and he has chose to serve Jesus. Keep up the good work, Bro. James.
Bro Tyler Pyle plays the piano with a dedication to God and with more energy than you will see from nearly anyone! He loves the piano and was annointed and prayed over for months to receive the talent he has. When he received the talent, he used it! he continues to use talent God has given him by playing full-time at the Lighthouse and in a gospel singing group, Angels Unaware. He has a true love of God and works hard of church bulletins, this website, and any area he is asked to assist. He is the son of Jackie Pyle.
Bro. Adrian Tindell plays the acoustic guitar and is also a outstanding drum player. He is a real talented young man who loves God with all his heart and is trying to live a dedicated live before the Lord. He is very excited about serving Jesus and isn't ashamed to let the world know he lives for him. Adrian is also a college student in the computer field of studies, and a great help to our church.
Bro. Gordon Bertram play acoustic guitar and piano, bass and also eletric guitar. He has been with our church for many years now and is very appreciated for his faithfulness. He has played guitar for many years and helped teach it to his two fine sons, Michael and Mark Bertram. Bro. Gordon is a man that loves God and one who knows how to pray when he's called on. We are really proud to have him as a member of our musician group.
